Two great headers from Garry Thompson there, remember it well, most cos it was when Alan Mcinally was geeing the Villa fans up when he was warming up as a sub lol

That run of form from Thompson before Christmas really got us going that season.

Must have been fearsome to play against, was a right hard bloke

Savage made his living by being a wind up merchant and would have possibly done a job on the likes of Ayew. That said, he is a class above any of their mob and I really hunk we have the team to beat them. Who is going to be bullied from our side? I can't think of any tbh. Who is going to be wound up is a different matter and we need to keep cool heads

Well said, and let's not forget that the hardest fans in the world travel the three miles to VP on coaches.

Funnily enough they take the piss out of us taking 2 to 3 coaches yet I've seen 20 of theirs to VP in the past. Talk of selective memory....

No club ever brings more coaches than the Noses. The club put them on too.

Surprises me given how dead hard those big bad Zulus are, as to why they'd need 40 coaches to dodge the Sutton bobble hat wearers.

Does it really matter how may coaches they bring when they come to us, surely we should be concentrating on us and letting them come out with things that really have no meaning

the comedy gold is literally a full page post saying we are obsessed with them

oh and the fact they regularly sit in the holte and celebrate wildly

They haven't won at Villa Park since 2003 so god knows what it is they sit there celebrating.

Wasn't it 2004 when they won 2 1 they last won at VP? That game was awful, felt like we'd lost before a ball was kicked.

I'd forgotten about that one. In fact I still can't remember anything about it now.

I'd like to banish it from my thoughts. A dreadful game. I was sat in the Holte with my dad and best mate. There was a horrific fat woman chanting about Dwight Yorke, behind us. Something about Jordan, his son and I remember the line 'he's black, but we can't say that'. (Was he on the bench that day for them?) What a c u next Tuesday she was.

Anyway, a truly miserable day.

Let's do the crayon eating neanderthal bastards this weekend.

1-0 to us. Rudy.

I remember before the Cahill game I had to wait to walk across Six Ways as their coaches were getting escorted in. There were loads of them, must have been two dozen plus.

Crivens - that must've been a terrifying ordeal for ya Pete! Were the incarcerated hard men gesticulating rudely at you as they passed? Frankly, those extra digits make such displays of aggression all the more scary. Mercy me.  :'(

The pressure is on us.  We should win but there again I say that every week.  Would I take a 0-0 now probably although would still be disappointed.  Hopefully Bruce will have us pumped up like he had them against us.

This game where Sorenson made the mistake was at the Sty though not VP.

He fucked up in both games, the one at Villa Park was probably the worst of the two.

Both were the pretty similar, both shots were soft, one slipped through his arms and body and the other slipped under him. Those two games were the worst we ever played against them.

Never forgave Sorenson for those errors.

Can't afford to get nowt from Sunday and Brighton away. 3 points here and Blackburn home should take some pressure off going to Brighton.
