Well said, and let's not forget that the hardest fans in the world travel the three miles to VP on coaches.

This game where Sorenson made the mistake was at the Sty though not VP.

He fucked up in both games, the one at Villa Park was probably the worst of the two.

Both were the pretty similar, both shots were soft, one slipped through his arms and body and the other slipped under him. Those two games were the worst we ever played against them.

The actual victory - Aston Villa
The moral victory - sha (as always! our team cost more, they beat us twice over 10 years ago, they've won a cup since us etc etc)

Blimey, I've no recollection whatsoever. That must be what shock does to you.

Oh I forgot, they have more fans in Brum, their fans are harder, their fans don't boo the team.....

This really made me laugh

They chant "shit support my lord" to every opposition team, forgetting about the tens of thousands of empty seats around them and the closed off Upper Trinity.

Tens of thousands I tell ye

I remember before the Cahill game I had to wait to walk across Six Ways as their coaches were getting escorted in. There were loads of them, must have been two dozen plus.

Anyone remember the year before at the sty to the above video, when we outplayed them and lost 1-0. Jim Montgomery had one of the finest performances I have ever seen from a keeper.

That run of form from Thompson before Christmas really got us going that season.

we need someone to make Robinson lose his cool and get a red card.

Bloody hell, is he still playing?

SHA forum seems to think it will be Rhoys Wiggins at left back....whoever he is.

the comedy gold is literally a full page post saying we are obsessed with them

oh and the fact they regularly sit in the holte and celebrate wildly

They haven't won at Villa Park since 2003 so god knows what it is they sit there celebrating.

Wasn't it 2004 when they won 2 1 they last won at VP? That game was awful, felt like we'd lost before a ball was kicked.

I'd forgotten about that one. In fact I still can't remember anything about it now.

Sorensen threw the ball in for the first and Heskey ran right upfront all game...can't even remember who actually scored for us. The return at SHA that season was equally as depressing.

They did have a mental hold over us in those times but luckily they sold Savage and that evaporated over the next few seasons.
