2-2, Jedinak and a late equaliser from Hippy Jack
Really? I don't think  Jedi will be anywhere near opposition goal let alone score in matches I have watched!

I think this will be different to our home games so in that Newcastle won't sit back meaning they may be easier to break down. Whether our defence will cope at the other end is an entirely different matter.

Draw or loss. We don't do wins.

Sorry fellas, no way we win this one.

I don't know how anyone can vote for or expect a win with our current form.

Unbeaten in 3, haven't lost at home in a league game since 23rd April. Nailed on home win or draw :-)

Hoping McCormack is fit. Though I think there's a good case for 433 and that would mean him playing out of position- e.g. on the left of the attacking three

Also wonder if adomah comes into the reckoning. I'd probably keep ayew to be honest.

Gollini

Chester elphick baker cissokho

Westwood Jedinak grealish

Ayew kodjia McCormack

Subs: bunn bacuna Richards Amavi Tshibola adomah gestede

Something like that, but:

Gollini

Bacuna elphick Chester cissokho

Adomah Westwood Jedinak grealish

kodjia McCormack

Subs: bunn Baker Richards Amavi Tshibola Ayew gestede

Now I like the look of that. Balance and enough on bench to change it if need be

This could actually suit us more than the other games this season. I'd expect Newcastle to be far more attack minded than most of our opposition. They'll take the game to us. We look decent defensively (when we don't do something stupid). I'd like us to utilize our pace on the counter a bit more. Kodija, Ayew and Adomah could cause Newcastle problems. I think Jack could be key (if he is allowed to play) as he could be the one to draw defenders to him and create space for others. Jedinak needs to sit and hold and I'd stick (fitness permitting) either Tish or Lyden next to him).

Obviously a really tough game.  But we're undefeated at home and have come nowhere near that being threatened. I'd say that for more than half of our minutes at home we've been really excellent too. So let's not do ourselves down too much. They're the best team in the league but they're not fucking man citeh.

As much as a win would be absolutely buzzing, I don't think we can afford to lose and the gap to the top become even bigger, especially with winnable games coming up after this one, that being said, an undeserved lucky win will go down a treat
