We're such a dysfunctional club we might well miraculously scrape a win, but that would make me happy, and evidently that's not why Aston Villa exist on this earth. More misery / frustration beckons.

Fuck it. I'm being entreated by the media to act as if this is a derby game. The Newcastle fans who wait outside the away end to have a pop causing agro to start between us and them are suggesting I treat this as a derby game. I found relegating them again, just as hilarious as the first time of asking.

So why not? If ever the "it's going to click" argument was the bear fruit, then this is the game. 4-1 Villa, and you can fuck off as well you fat, Coventry, horse neglecting c***.

I have much more time for Sunderland. I don't believe I am the only Villa with this train of thought.

Newcastle seem to have assembled a good side so our players will have to be up for this scrap on Saturday (and our fans also need to create a cauldron of Villa support). I have to say I would be elated if we beat them and then we also got the better of Barnsley on Tuesday night. Crisis? What crisis eh?

Regards

I really worry for this one. It would not be fun at all to lose this, and I think we might well lose it badly.

That said, we might absolutely fuck them if the forwards can get it to work. It's an outside hope, but it's all I've got.

There's obviously a few players carrying knocks but would want to see Tshibola and McCormack both play as we look lightweight in midfield without the former and short on ideas up front without the latter

I'd like to see us go Gollini, Bacuna, Elphick, Chester, Cissokho, Tshibola, Jedinak, Westwood, Adomah, McCormack, Kodija

Subs: Bunn, Richards, Amavi, Gardner, Grealish, Ayew, Gestede (if fit), Hepburn-Murphy (if Gestede injured)

Is Tshibola available or suspended for getting sent off (2 yellows) for the under 23's?

Let's hope Clark plays for them then :)

A Villa win and a clean sheet...2-0

I will be missing the game and probably won't see any highlights until late. During the match I'll be watching 10,000 Russos, In Zaire and The New Candys at Liverpool PsychFest

Sounds comparable to the depths of hell. I think the experience will be made worse still (if possible) with a 1-2 result.

Think he's available for selection.
