I'd like RDM to try something radical...like play wingers on the wing, and creative playmakers in the middle.

And if I get to Portman Road and find Gardner is in the team, I'm gong to start the walk back home.

who are these creative playmakers that you refer to? that is what we lack in my opinion

Don't think anyone else has mentioned it but, have you noticed that when we are defending corners or free kicks around our box, everyone  of our players is around or in our penalty area so, when we clear the ball there is no outlet and the ball just comes back again. I have never seen this in football and, frankly it's inviting trouble. What RDM fails to realise is that if we leave one up, they have to leave 2 defenders back or, better still, if we leave 2 up the opponents will bring 3 back.

As regards to his approach of dropping our players deep, trying to protect a lead, that's fine for the last 5 minutes but not for 55 minutes!! Best form of defending is to press high up the pitch and attack. Football is so simple so why do our managers insist on complicating it??

What was the point of bringing Gardner on again? We all know what he can contribute to the team and, that ain't a lot.

I couldn't go to the Brentford game as my dodgy knee decided to seriously play up on me but I have been to all the other home games and I think we have played far better than our results suggest. Sadly we seem to have a knack of shooting ourselves in the foot. But I understand why people are disagreeing. Performance wise is good in my opinion. Results wise has been disappointing so far.

Mortimer, Withe for us.  Gates, Whymark for them.

Laurie Sivell will save a last minute penalty.

We've been having every- one back defending since lambert' time and I just don't get why somethings never change. Put someone  on the half-way line ffs.

Oh agreed on that. A bugbear of mine for years. Grealish and Ayew won't win many headers in our box. They might keep a few out of it who will if they are stood on the halfway line though.

Anyone see Ooh ah's twitter comments?
"  3 minutes to go and you leave Egan completely unmarked at the back post? Jaysus lads give us a break" I'd like to think that goal caused a massive ruck amongst our players after the game. But somehow I doubt it

Not posted on this thread before as most seemed over confident. Not being deliberately contrary but I think we will win this one and draw with Toon. It is going to take time and I am hoping that we will get back to where we should be-at the moment that place is still the Championship but a good run of form will change things as long as we don't get carried away again. The teams in this division are nowhere the standard of the Preeemier but they do know how to put a shift in and we need to show more respect.

Gollini
Bacuna - Elphick - Chester - Cissokho
Adomah - Jedinak - Tishibola - Grealish
McCormack
Kodjia

If Jack isn't fit though we can go 3 in the middle and push Adomah up next to Ross to support Kodjia in a 433.

Agree with this, allows us to play on the break as well.

Will go 1-2, us being two up before the inevitable late goal leading to squeaky bum time for last few mins.

1-1, followed by some self righteous Tractor twat coming on here and lecturing us on the way to behave in this division.

Come on villa get that win for us and get the bandwagon rolling. If we do it will make that little tosser Holloway shut his big fucking mouth.
