Would it be too optimistic to think that the goals McCormack will hopefully bring will be enough to at least keep us minimum in playoff contention? I'd like to think automatic promotion (because the playoffs are so bloody nerve-wracking), but it seems too alien to be predicting Villa to finish near the top of any league that I think we'll be in the chasing pack. 4th.

Keeping my powder dry on top 6 or where we might finish until in's and outs are bit clearer but if we could sort out a well drilled back 4 who keep a good shape and cut out the majority of our well renowned cock ups that would along with a finisher like McCormack go a long way to securing a high season end position, another commanding experienced centre back please.

As it stands squad wise. May revise if we spend well.

1. Newcastle sadly, best squad, top manager. Don't think they will walk it though.
2. Brighton - Hughton is just good in this league. If they keep Knockaert will be right up there.
3. Norwich - Pritchard is a good move and they are a well organised side.
4. Derby - Pearson will have them up there I think.
5. Villa - McCormack is a great capture all things considered. Play offs.
6. Wolves - Late run as they gel after Christmas, but Zenga to be long gone by then.
