That's what Larry Grayson used to say.

Wrapped up like a present? He had a hand on him and the forward had a hand on his leg. So what?

Never a penalty.
Even your evidence is unconvincing Lions. This photo does not show what you say it does.  I thought it was a poor decision but made up for the disallowed goal in principle, which was also a poor decision.

Behave and stop fabricating. Elphick has two arms around the striker, whose hand is not in fact on Elphick's leg.

Tommy has let a striker get in front of him and outmuscle him in a set-piece situation so he's wrapped his arms around him and the lad hasn't been able to move. It's a penalty.

I once had the great honour to talk football to Steve Hunt.  He admitted to me that he suffered very badly from nerves when he played.  I commented that I had never seen any trace of it in his game and how did he do it.  He replied that he had half a tumbler of whisky before he ran on the pitch and the same again at half time.  Somebody should suggest it to Tommy Elphick.

Maybe they shouldn't. He might end up like Michael Elphick.  ;)

You've posted a still of Tommy with his hands on the forward and the forward holding his shorts. It's not a foul and was never a penalty.

I always worry when I see players holding their shorts.

All right then.  Explain to me why is his left arm across Elphick's chest?  He's holding him off, and, his right elbow is in our no 4's ear.

Have you ever been tugged to the ground? Your arms go out automatically, He's being pulled down so he's trying to find leverage

My arms don't shoot out to the side when I'm getting a tug.

No, but I bet you pull a funny face.

Poor old Tommy captain on Tuesday and now if signing comes in of moukadi he'll likely be down the pecking order and probably out to loan !

Think he must be gutted !
Being ousted by an unproven up and coming player and the statement that Bree was excellent at centre back and tuanzabe was okay and Elphick would surely be out

Agree he's weak and error prone . Costly errors too. Not sure why one min he in squad as skipper then next likely dumped

I mean he obviously was failure in his audition and won't be knocking any doors to get in the team

He'll go on loan I reckon

Exactly. Feel should have been out sooner so could organise Own players for season.
This is so last minute and disruptive .

I feel for Elphick and it's also annoying that Bruce did not just move him on earlier

Isn't is best not to let players go before new one's come on?

Seems like a good bloke and a good professional. But he's not very good where it matters IMHO

I wish him all the best though

He has hardly been given a chance under a Bruce, he was a big part of Bournemouth promotion team.
He is certainly no worse than Jedi at centre half.
He is not one of Bruces bum chums though.

He’s had his chances at Villa but he’s been hopeless since day one. No wonder Bournemouth got rid as soon as they went up.
