I wasn't at the match but Bluenose buddies of mine insist a large section Villa applauded Trevor Franciswhen scored a hat trick against for QPR. Sounds unlikely to me.

I was in the Lower North and Lampard got a lot of applause as he walked past at the end of the game. Same game that EBJT got absolutely slaughtered while down injured in front of us and as he was stretchered off.
