I have only just seen Bacuna's Hodge moment. Crikey.

Just my opinion, but I think that's deliberate.

Unless he really is that stupendously crap?

I honestly think that's he's not intelligent enough to make it deliberate - he's just that incompetent.

Eric Black on WM.
"the supporters pay their money, they're entitled to their opinion.
"I made my decisions based on 35 years of experience in the game".

See, there it is.  "I've been involved in the game for 35 years and the fans haven't, so they know nothing".  Had obviously hasn't learnt too much in 35 years if he thinks the sides he has put out over the past few weeks are acceptable.

Wanted to make a mention for Toner who came on.  Looked a little on the slow side, but seems to have so he'll if a left foot.  He hit some great balls with it in the second half.

i heard blacks comments driving home and nearly crashed

what he has learnt in 35 years could be written on a the back of a stamp in marker pen

having lescott as captain tells you everything you need to know about black

Bacuna fucked up for their second but  I am not impressed with Lescott's running with no weight on his shoulders!

Watching the first half yesterday I kept thinking this is like a top tier team playing non-league opposition due to shear quality difference but that was unfair as non-league boys would put in a decent amount of effort.

I wonder if our temporary Manager was "romantically nourished" by the events of yesterday. Shall we compare the shocking back pass to a Shakesperian "Summers day" or "to excrement  floating hither and thither on the top of the canal."

After 35 years in the game lets hope he views it as the latter.

Looks as if he may preside over a team that may well lose all of their matches on his watch.

Credit to the much maligned Westwood yesterday - two goals scored is a real Villa rarity.

Saints had plenty left in their tank and really should have had six. Some good last ditch individual defending by Villa but no real "team" defending.

Gazoon a good shot stopper. First Saints goal was offside.

Unfortunately It's likely to cement the ultimate crisp packet of a midfielders place in the squad for another 5 years.

Well done to everyone who went yesterday. You are a better supporter than I am, and I salute you.

The second half was a bit more entertaining than the first and the defending was still shambolic. Seeing Westwood score two in a match wasn't something I was expecting though.

Just because I can say "I was there" doesn't make me a better or worse supporter.

We all love the Villa.

Most games this season have been the kind where you long to tell your grandchildren: 'I wasn't there'

Well apparently after 35 years in the game Eric knows best so his decisions were all correct and we are deluded fools with little or no intellect.

Maybe we deserve some sort of recognition for being present at this farce since August.

Some sort of commemorative plaque somewhere.

Absolute respect and all that to the heroes that have followed Villa on the road though.
