Another wasted Saturday. Of the six of us with season tickets only three turned up yesterday. One cleared off at half time and me and my son went after their third.

A mate of mine couldn't be bothered to go either, he preferred to do some jobs round the house and can't say I could blame him though although he did miss out on some very good paper plane flying.

Yes, the planes were good. One landed on my brother, he picked it up and chucked it again only for it to loop the loop and come straight back to him.
Impressive. Well if Paddy was watching he might sign him up next summer.

I had 5 empty seats to my left and a few more that than to my right.

I was shuffling around betweens seats depending on who I wanted to talk to in the row in front. Sometimes it was my mate Mark and sometimes it was SligoTom and ClaretandBeer

Well done to everyone who went yesterday. You are a better supporter than I am, and I salute you.

I am a much worse than yow.

I crossed the city to the dark side where trees are scarce and stayed in the pub when the team was announced.

I am worse than all of you: I flew to Shanghai to miss that shit.

I took 3 youngster with me aged 4, 5 and 7. We sat in the family area in upper Trinity A1. After 15 minutes the kids were bored so there being loads of empty seats I let them runaround and after 5 minutes they were having whale of a time running and banging seats. Just before HT a lady about 6 rows down complained that kids doing that was  annoying her. I thought about saying "you are not in a theatre" and "you should be more annoyed about those grown ups on the pitch" but didn't say it and tried to remonstrate with the kids but gave up. We left 15 minutes into the second half.

Which is why I moved from the Upper Trinity back to the Holte years ago! Fancy making noise at a football match - tut!

And why I'd like to stay in the Upper Trinity.

On the plus side we got 'Chant of the Day' in The Observer today for reminding Lescott of last week's remarks - "It's just a weight off your shoulders"

Decided for the first time this season to have a bet at the match. I had villa 0 v Southampton 4 and separately Westwood to be last scorer.

At 88 mins I left the ground thinking well done westy, at 22-1 that was a sound bet only to hear on the car radio it had finished 2 v 4.

I laughed about as loudly as I did when bacuna played that killer through ball for their second. Oh what a joyous afternoon.

Got to say the view  in the Upper Trinity is second to none.  The atmosphere is not as good as some of the other stands.

Have met some good people up there - think it would be great on a big match day with the stadium full and people actually sitting next to you.
