Is it really less than 12 months since we played Liverpool off the park at Wembley? It seems like about a million years ago.

The atmosphere during the last 10-15 minutes was absolutely surreal, almost a thing of beauty. We had all surrendered to the inevitable but were making some noise nonetheless.

It makes me cringe to read or see anything at all about Aston Villa since that debacle yesterday. We have finally reached rock bottom

Sadly I don't think we are anywhere near rock bottom yet.

The club is such a fucking basket case I think we will continue to embarrass next season too.

Lerner, Fox, Reilly, Almstadt - I don't give a shit what their job titles are, they have put together a master class in abysmal management.

Lerner - who I genuinely think is stupid, at least when it comes to business - has spent a quarter of a billion pounds plus turning a basket case club into an even bigger fucking mess.

We are still seeing it now what with him 'persuading' a regional accountant who doesn't even like football to be our chairman.

What sort of brief are we imagining someone with that background has?

I think the January transfer window proved what brief Hollis has been given by Lerner.  Don't spend any more of my money.

Stupidity is one thing, but it's compounded by arrogance, apathy, cowardice and fecklessness. It's a catastrophic combination. All this "he wants to sell" bullshit. I honestly don't think he knows what he wants to do from one minute to the next, except screw his eyes tight, put his hands over his ears, make a loud noise, and pretend Aston Villa will just go away.

Comes to something when the biggest Villa cheer of the day was when the opposition substitute came on.
I found the applause for Benteke cringeable to be honest as I felt it signified how far we have fallen I also had to endure him applauding the 5th goal right in front of me as he warmed up, it was at this point I left.

I'm cheering myself up this week by locking myself in a dark room and listening to my Leonard Cohen collection.

I thought it was fair enough. If it wasn't for him, we'd have probably been in the championship a couple of season's ago.

I've got nothing against CB, it just made me feel sad that we were applauding an ex player when we were getting absolutely mullered and he himself was applauding the mullering

I can't remember feeling so shell-shocked after a football match. I thought we were down months ago, but I now realise I was still in denial. Not any more. This morning I've had a think about what other experience(s) I've had that compare to this feeling - & the only thing that kept going through my mind was bereavement of a loved-one. I then argued with myself that to draw such a comparison is ridiculous and a complete over-reaction to a bunch of wasters who attempt to kick a ball through a couple of poles (and fail dismally), but then I realised such hyperbole was actually appropriate whether I wanted it to be or not. The football club I have loved dearly all my life has not just been relegated in all but name: it's been destroyed by the gross stupidity & incompetence of one man and his pathetic whims. So thanks for killing this wonderful football club Mr Lerner. May you burn in Hell for eternity. Bastard.

If I was Remi Garde I would pick the kids next game and send a message to the main core of 16 crap players. Let them get experience for next season, so we know which kids is worth using for complete rebuild of team.

If I was Remi garde I would never pick Bacuna ( park player ) again but I have been saying this for mths

but he keeps starting

this is one thing that I donty understand about GArde

plus why his hes team so passive and weak and he just stands there doing or saying nothing . At least you see Wenger spit his dummy out.

Funnily enough I'm doing a similar thing, but to the cheery tones of the Black Sabbath catalogue. It also has the advantage of being particularly appropriate after yesterday's debacle.   ;)

This articulates my feelings perfectly.  Nothing more to add really.

Fuck it.  I'm getting my lycra on and dancing around the house to Tight Fit.  All welcome.

May I suggest you re-organise your sense of priorities if you really feel that way.
