The only amusing part of the day was the Liverpool celebrity fans page in the programe, two of which are apparently Brad Pitt and Pope John Paul II.

How come all the programme stalls were sold out yet only 35,000 were there today. Have Villa reduced the print run or something?

Probably. I'd say programme sales are down at all clubs. I just think they're going out of fashion in these digital download days.

I've got to the point of thinking we've been a shit, pointless premier league club for too long now. Maybe we need to drop down a division or two, have a bit of a purge, and start being a club to be proud of again.

There's worse thing that could happen, like another five years like the last.

What makes you think Lerner's Villa are set for a glorious rebirth in the Championship?

No idea, but I see relegation as part of the warp and weft of being in a league. I've no doubt we'd still all be here, and I reckon I'd enjoy the change, at least for a season or two. I'll take the chance ahead of the current situation.

I have to politely disagree on the focus of your post- "we" haven't been a shit, pointless Premier League club, it's our owners who have been utterly shit and who have run us appallingly. "We" don't need to drop down, it's the custodian who need to hold his hands up, act with honour and integrity and fall on his sword.  As for the purge, with Randy Lerner overseeing it, expect another five years like the last.  He is totally incompetent.

That's fair enough - I take your point. I just want something to change for the 'better', and sometimes things have to get worse before they do.

The only good thing for me was winning 40 quid on backing Sturridge to score.  It was such a no brainier of a bet at 2 to 1

The last two matches I've been to were today and the Man City cup game so that's 10 goals conceded with no reply.

Today was especially diabolical though. Four goals in 13 minutes. Although they were all truly shocking today, Bacuna was absolutely shocking. I don't condone booing one of our players when he gets the ball but I can understand why people were doing it.

The highlight for me, if there can be one, was the singing for the last 10 minutes in the Holte upper where we were. Six nil down and still singing. I felt proud to be a part of that. The club really doesn't deserve our support but there we are loud and proud and we'll still be there when these fuckwits have gone.

Don't think Bacuna was that much worse than the rest of the midfield.

All 5 were absolutely woeful.

For the last few weeks I've been questioning my sanity and thought I might be missed something with Gana, Veretout and Gill.

Today restored my self belief, I was right all along - they're as fucking useless as the rest.

Total embarrassment. Consequences? Let's wait and see. I think they have given up and will be in for a few batterings between now and the end of the season.  I honestly can't see us winning another game with the current attitude.

Their was a moment early in the second half were we broke and Gil skipped past about 3 of there players, not one of the useless twats moved for him, Gabby stood still the whole time marked by two defendees, nobody was busting a gut to get forward from midfield, nobody went out wide to make space, nothing happened, they all hid, nobody wanted that ball at a time when we were having a 5 minute spell, they should've been busting a gut to get forward, there is no professional pride in that squad at all, losing is engraved in them and they don't have the bollocks to even attempt to turn it around.

Just watching an episode of Embarrassing Bodies and a lady has just had 7lbs of breast tissue removed. Now she would definitely be an upgrade on Bacuna.

Today was a true reflection of what Aston Villa has become, it is a reflection of Randy Lerner and if allowed the league should let us play the remaining games where that man is still custodian as Randy Lerner Football Club, not as Aston Villa, the stain that is being left by his incompetence will last for many years and those that think relegation will be the pinnacle of his incompetence are in for a shock. Lerner brought Hollis in for cuts, cuts and more cuts whatever division we are in.
When he finally totters off, whatever division we are in, we then may still have a club to resurrect, aint gonna happen with him here.

You are right about Hollis Kuwait. Ads summed it up perfectly when he called him our 'de facto administrator'.
