I get a vision of Lerner jnr being like the character Tom Hanks played in the film 'Big' when he was playing with his toy skyscraper in the boardroom.

The thought of an American teenager haviing even a little power whatsoever in any major business is frankly ridicidulous. Might as well put Justin Bieber in as well!

But it is Mr Lerner's club and if he wants to do it he will. Didn't Doug try that? I am sure Peter Ellis was removed from the board for some reason.

He'll be more competent than his old man. My goldfish could do a better job than Lerner senior...

Because I'm a nice person, and I don't like having to call people hideously offensive names and generally berate them for their idiocy...

...I'm going to assume this is a wind-up, until further notice.

Strikes me we are in for a new era of austerity. If my dad put me in charge of a great drain on my inheritance that I had no interest in, I know how I'd react!

Ridiculous situation if he as apparently suggested is "eyes and ears" for his dad but I would suggest Hollis has dealt with similar situations in his career as long as he really gets a grip and not treat his chair position as nice retirement bonus.

Anyone remember the comedy character Max Headroom?

He'd have to be known as the comedy character Max Boardroom.....

Surely, this whole story is a load of arse-bollocks.

Surely?

Lerner is a loon, we already knew that. Wish he'd fuck off.

Pretty much this nowadays I'm afraid.

I did read an interview with Ellis a few weeks back and he actually mentioned Max Lerner was coming to a few games but this is ridiculous, up there with that mental Cardiff owner putting his son in charge of transfers or whatever it was.

He should be off to Harvard or Yale, not the villa boardroom...the only way I could see it making sense would be if he was going to Oxbridge and taking up a non-executive position. Still doubt it.
