Well at the moment we don't know if it's true, so there could be a lot of hot air and warm piss getting thrown about for no good reason.

However, the fact that, based on some of the mind boggling decisions of the recent past  it's remotely plausible is terrifying.

That said, I'm still struggling to see that Lerner, who on the basis of the last few years wants as little as possible to do with us, who in all of his recent statements has at some point mentioned that his family commitments in New York being the primary reason for his withdrawal, who has always appeared to be very protective of his son would then throw his son under the bus. His same son who presumably should be starting uni this autumn?

It makes no sense, but unfortunately you can say that for a lot of the last 5 years.

Why would any father throw his eighteen year old son into what would be a very hostile atmosphere, he wasn't willing to face the Villa supporters I could not imagine he would let his kid take the flak.

What did you expect? The same man appointed McLeish! The man is not fit to be the custodian of AVFC, end of.

This.
The man has turned us into a laughing stock over 5 painfully long years.

If Randy wanted to get his son involved in the club as some sort of grounding to a career, he should be getting him an internship in the marketing department (which is, if you believe Fox, a couple of typists and a fax machine).

Putting him on the board, though? At age 18?

The original story appears to be source in The Sunday People, part of the Trinity Mirror Group which owns the Mail.

Litigation issues aside, we should have a clear view sooner rather an later.

This is par for the course with Mr Lerner I'm afraid. A single shareholder over the whole club can do want he wants. Oh how I wish I still had my 150 shares from 2006!  Lerner is a complete lunatic!!

Which is what it could be off course. An internship if it's even true. But yes if he does get a seat then it's nuts. I see Jack Grealish has called bollocks another Mirror story that he had a fall out with Garde at Wycombe.

Who on earth would be stupid enough to allow their 18yr old son to walk into this hostile environment? For the sake of the boy and the club.

True or not it adds to the comedic repertoire of Aston Villa.

Didn't we all have a fucking good laugh at the rags when they did something similar?

Maybe this is the thing that Alan Nixon said that "we need and now we're going to get".

What we need is a centre forward that can score goals.

When I was only a couple of years older than Lerner Jnr my father in law took me into his bookmaking business. "But what will I do?" I asked him.  "Hold my fucking pencil" he replied.  If Max is coming which I very much doubt, it will that kind of arrangement, nothing more.
