Why are the club appearing to dither over re-appointing Giles? This early stage of preparation for the new season is so important. The players are back in training from their end of season break.
Overall, another terrible fixture list. Only one limited overs game on a Saturday, so you have to book a day off work if you want to attend and drink heavily at the game.I probably won't bother attending any of them, it's murder to book annual leave at our place and it'll be a waste if it rains.PLAY ON SATURDAYS YOU c***s!

I'm sure Lancashire don't want to lose him and if they've dug their heels in there isn't much the Bears can do. Giles has always struck me as a pretty decent and honourable guy so I imagine he feels a sense of duty to Lancashire. Regardless of his history with the Bears, he works for Lancashire now and may feel that he has unfinished business there.I don't buy this "he's a Bear" nonsense. This is his job, nothing more, nothing less.

Giles keen to get future sorted quickly after link to Warwickshire jobLANCASHIRE head coach and cricket director Ashley Giles insists his future will be resolved ‘soon’ after being linked with a move back to Warwickshire. The former England spinner has been in charge at Lancashire for two seasons, but maintains he has been “well looked after” at Old Trafford despite being linked with a move back to Warwickshire – who he coached between 2007 and 2012.“It’s a very sensitive issue and I really can’t sit here and talk about my employment,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live.“By no means have I fallen out with Lancashire, it’s a very personal issue. I hope we can come to a resolution soon for all parties.”When the fact his family still lived in the Midlands was mentioned, Giles added: “You’ve hit the nail on the head there. But at the same time we sign contracts and are paid to do a job.”
At the end of the day, if he's not happy at Lancs then it's best all round for him to move on. I predict he'll be back at Edgbaston in the next few days.
Warwickshire leg spinner Josh Poysden has been selected for the England Lions squad for the 50-over series against Sri Lanka in February and March next year. The 25-year-old - who recently signed a two-year contract extension with Warwickshire - spent the first part of the close season working with the Lions as a net bowler at the performance camps in Loughborough and Dubai. After impressing during his time with the squad and helping the Bears win the Royal London One-Day Cup in 2016, he will join the Lions in the New Year, with Durham opener Keaton Jennings leading the squad across both formats.
