Yorkshire aren't going to win this but (in a Keegan style) I'd love it, just love it if they prevent Middlesex from taking the title.

Yup....it would be soooooooooooooooo Yorkshire to tuck up the southerners.

The thought of pissing Andrew Strauss off pleases me.

Hovercover only on to start with but now the sheets being put out. Not too heavy but they certainly won't come back out whilst like this. May pack up and go home and listen if they should get back out.
Durham 183/5 228 behind get it down to 149 please.
Coming down quite heavy now

Looking like a big ask for Durham at the moment, 186/7.

They are going to do it for Bairstow.

It wasn't ever going to go any other way.

If Somerset win (near certainty) they'd finish above Yorkshire even if they won, wouldn't they? Unless Yorkshire somehow got about 3+ batting points.

So we're supporting anything but a Middlesex win in that one.

Come on Zummerzet!

Yorkshire would have to get a minimum 350 and then win, which isn't going to happen.

Durham 242/7 at stumps needing another 20 to avoid the follow on.

Looking at the weather reports it doesn't seem likely to lose any overs to rain or light so we need Durham to keep pushing that one on whilst we push for a 250-300 lead.

They've done a little better than expected but Hampshire struggling to take wickets always looked like a possibility and this stand has highlighted that weakness again.

Well if the weather is ok for the next 2 days it is highly likely we will see a result at Edgbaston - let's hope that we can get 250 and stick em late tomorrow.

It's a fine balance. I think we need quick runs, as long as we don't collapse - just to give plenty of time to bowl them out. Remember they only need a draw, so they might just go totally defensive and dig in. Durham might force a draw by avoiding the follow on, but the Bears need to just go for the win.

A bit of a miserable morning, hopefully it'll be okay (or be horrible in Hampshire to make up for it).

Sunshine now!....hopefully dry up any moisture quickly. First hour will be pivotal. We need at least 200 runs today.
