Somerset with a big lead of 245 over Yorkshire after the first innings, but they couldn't quite get the last batting point.

Still no more wickets for Middlesex against Lancashire.

So do I. I have a soft spot for the Bears and after Essex always look out for their results (sorry Chris J).

Essex massively deserve that promotion, consistent all season well done!

See Steven Davies is leaving Surrey, presume he wants to keep as well as batting to make that decision, would have loved to get him back to New Road if he just wanted to bat in the middle order but Cox is way better keeper & Joe Clarke also has keeper / batsman ambitions.

Any other local county looking for a new keeper? :-)

I'd take him at Edgbaston no question. Even if he isn't as good a keeper as Ambrose, his batting will more than make up for that, quality number 5.

Saw something earlier about Davies looking to leave Surrey.

Would love to see him at Warwickshire next year.

Somerset need just 42 runs to beat Yorkshire.

Durham with a handy lead over Surrey. Durham lead by 243 with 4 wickets remaining.

Middlesex favourites, but Lancashire still in it. Middlesex 104 ahead, with 8 wickets remaining.

The inevitable city based T20 competition looks certain to happen. I said it ages ago that it was a great move for us to rebrand as the Birmingham Bears, virtually guaranteeing a Birmingham team (granted we were probably guaranteed anyway).

Firstly, who is the 19th vote?

Secondly, this is to run alongside the existing competition. Erm, OK, that will last for long.

Looking forward to seeing how a team called Leeds gets along with most Yorkshire supporters.
