Very disappointing performance from the Bears up at Old Trafford after the good win over Durham on Friday night. Yet again some strange team selections from Dougie Brown and i suspect Ian Bell again. How they can leave out Chopra who was undefeated on 97 Friday night and replace him with either Porterfield or more notably Evans is beyond me.Like Westwood, he just can't put bat to ball this season

Leaving Javid out seems another strange decision .As is the continued policy of playing OHD in place of the likes of Barker and Wright . Ambrose is another who is failing to get the ball of the square this season and yet is selected over Ronchi who only plays white ball cricket for us

Still as a ex Villa manager would say,we will go again on Tuesday

I thought Ronchi was here for the T20's only.

Anyone going Tuesday? I'm on a day off so it would be rude not to if this weather continues.

Fair play to Northants who are giving it a shot, 261-5 off 30.

Fell 20 runs short in the end. Must have been a hell of a game to see

Terrible dropped catch by Evans on the long boundary. O'Brien as well who is on 45. Leicester 86 for 2.

Leicester got 240 odd. At one point it looked like they would get over 300 then a few overs later less than 200. Unfortunate injury to O'Brien. Radar in AccuWeather looks ominous to the west.Covers at halfway position  in readiness.

I see Chopra blasts 97 against Durham and is dropped for this one day cup competition! Brown's selection policy baffles me. Why is OHD playing and not Barker??

117/0 in reply. Porterfield 58 Hain 45. Some glorious shots. Very little in the air unlike their innings which was very frenetic and air bound.

Lovely day out.

Bit of a stroll for The Bears, the only tension in the end was whether Hain would get his ton before Evans stole it from him, in the end a 4 - 6 finish sealed it.

I suppose you had dropped off for a nap when they were 129 for 2 of 23 overs and K O'Brien was scoring boundaries at will?

I know what you mean though, it seemed as you described at the end.
