Pooligan gave the most likely explanation of the Chopra issue a few posts above and there is talk that Barker is injured, although i is hard to get confirmation about either case. What I do know though, is that Bell said in a pre-season interview posted on this forum that were blessed with a wealth of seamers and it would be difficult to know who to leave out. He went further and stated that we would use the successful Yorkshire strategy of rotating the seam attack so that they would not blow up early in the season, which to be fair has happened to us quite a lot in recent seasons. As I argued at the time, I don't think we are as good as quite a few pundits and the betting markets made out. The Middlesex spinner whose name I forget wrote on Espncricinfo last year that we were preparing wickets for Jeetan Pate, l which rings true to me.

We can't afford to be much off full strength to compete, maybe one bowler rested/injured/away with England at once.
They'd better.
