Let's just cut to the chase and go with Le Coq Sportif

I haven't bought a shirt in years, but I would if they were our makers.

Some of their recent efforts:

I was about to say how nice their Fiorentina shirts are. Although it's be difficult to not make them look cool.

Those shirts do beg the question as to whether a new kit sees meltdown on Fiorentina forums about it being the wrong shade of violet.

Let's start with the badge. This is what happens when you combine the classic version with the modern.

I hope not that is our thing.

If we released a shirt and there wasn't anyone saying it's the wrong claret, it's purple etc.... then i swear the world would stop spinning

At least we have dropped the 'prepared'. That would be absurd.

Just use the one before Lerner or the 80s one.

Either is fine.

Just get rid of the Lerner era crest.

If we absolutely have to keep it then remove the star and put the full name on it not the initials.

Dr. Tony did say almost immediately that it would be getting changed so I can't see the Lerner one being used for much longer. Just want some sort of news. I know it's not that important but it matters to some of us.

Just my opinion.

I love it and Gymshark to make the kit please, a Brummie company doing big things worldwide with a Villa connection.

When I had raised the trophy hunting associations with Keith Wyness he was concerned but pointed out how hard it is to find an ethical sportswear manufacturer. They all seem to have skeletons in their closets! (Nike sweatshops etc - although apparently Nike, adidas and Puma have all considerably upped their game in this regard) He also said the most intranet thing is that the players have kit that is good quality, comfortable and allows them to get on with the job.

The statement about the new manufacturer is interesting. Maybe the 'groundbreaking' side is that he has found something that has a good ethical fit but maintains good quality? Maybe something in the deal feeds into the community? No idea - just speculating.

A Bromsgrove/Redditch company.

My nephew works for them, he went to school with the lads who founded it and seems to spend his working life travelling the world. Anyway, from what I gather they don’t really have much interest in getting into football at the moment as they don’t think it suits their current brand image.

I'm sure I saw a rumour on Twitter (yes, I know) that we were going to produce our own.

At a time where FFP becomes tighter then I’d be perplexed if that’s the case. For me a new brand entering UK market. Li-Ning for example
