All depends on when the contract was negotiated...

?

the under armour deal was floating about in jan and as released ay the club had a substantial reduction if we were relegated.

wouldnt have been any different if it was signed in october as ua would have relegation clause in anyway

Just a little update in this and apologies if this is old news.....

Speaking to a Macron manager this morning about kids football kits etc and just thought I'd mention the Villa.

That opened a can of worms!!

I was told Macron made two bids, one for PL status, one for Championship status. The Macron bid for the Championship status was "substantially more" than Under Armour but less for the PL equivalent.

Dear old Tom obviously felt we'd get out of trouble!!

From what I've been told today, we certainly haven't got the best deal available. Not by a long shot.
Sorry to drag this one back out, but if this story is true, and there is no reason to believe it isn't, I hope this is one of the bullets that was loaded into the gun to shoot Fox.

It seem a shocking commercial decision to have made.

Be good to see the back of Macron.  Their kits have been awful, and the £2m a year income negligible.

I presume that *if* we get up at the first time of asking the money adjusts accordingly?

Be nice if we started acting like a big club again and get someone who we have heard of. Under Armour, a truly household name.

They're a global brand with £3bn turnover.

You should look at their portfolio of athletes before coming to that conclusion.

Yep, Steph Curry and Jordan Speith are with UA. Two of the biggest names in U.S. Sport.

Throw in Tom Brady and Bryce Harper too. It's really impressive how they built their brand and recognition over the last few years

Brady ? Didn't know that. If it's good enough for the GOAT, it's good enough for me.

Getting rid of Macron might be good just because most of us associate them with the mediocrity of the last few years.  Clean break and all that.

I read something about the crest changing as well.

I'd be very surprised at that.  He's well proud of that is Randy.

Got to admit, I was with you about this. I'd honestly never heard of them in my life until reading this thread when it appeared. I thought it was gonna be about Westwood's vest or something.

Looks like Coq Sportif to me.
