I like the smileys and the squiggles. It distracts from all the bollocks he talks.

I am struggling to understand but I really like this post. Its like a word connumndrum or cryptic crossword or something, ill save it for lunchtime. For what its worth I would imagine that the new deal will be heavily claused depending on us going down and when we come back up and numbered accordingly. It is easy to believe that even the bottom line of it will be more lucrative than a deal struck 4 years ago though

Thank You matt...I was trying to be elusive...  :D

Fox sold Arsenal like you sell ice-cream in a heat wave. Hundreds of bidders for even the corner flag. Why get off his bottom ~~ let his PA/Secretary etc deal with it...get it on your CV when you choose the highest bidder?
 {Get Randy to think you are Brill, and suggest a couple of your "Wenger Dynasty" compatriots come along to secure Villa's future}

Now, if the reports are true, he has secured a deal that is worth more than any previous deal. And he secured it as we are a Prem Side with a global audience...etc.

WE ain't gonna be a global attraction, if the worst happens, is there a withdrawal clause for relegation? :D
A reduction/adjustment~~ as you suggest ?

If we go down, and the Toon do as well we can kiss goodbye to TV exposure.
I mean, Leeds hogged the TV in the Chumps league ~ 11 matches before Christmas~ they even went to court to stop further TV matches, their following, with the Toon and the Mackems are going to push us way down TV exposure~~~AND that is heavy factor in selling sponsorship. For shirts...and Corner Flags.

WE are not sitting here selling Ice-Cream in a  heat wave.... Fox may be right...Faulkner's deal may have been pro rata 4 years ago, but I will be amazed ~~ as you should be~~matt~~  if Fox's deal is anywhere above Brighton's, Derby's or Boro's.

FFS less of the smiley, bold and wavey line shite and just say what you mean please.

Seconded
It almost made me sea sick  :o ~'-,~'-,~'-,~'-,~'-,~'-,~'-,~'-,~'-,~'-,~'-,~'-,~'-,~'-,

Miracles of modern science.  Talking bollocks. Always hanging around with a bit of a dick and always looking (for) a twat.

I'm not sure why so many people are upset with under armour.  If you look at a range of the kits they do I think most of them are good, they tend to avoid the the 'flourishes' that many kit providers insist on adding and I think it really helps.

Sao Paulo:

Roma:

Hannover:

I quite like all of those.  I don't think the spurs kit is terrible either.

These days the kits are normally a hit or miss due to the sponsor

I'm not normally too bothered, but I hate the current kit with a vengeance. I don't think I've liked anything that the Italian in a snood has produced.

Just a little update in this and apologies if this is old news.....

Speaking to a Macron manager this morning about kids football kits etc and just thought I'd mention the Villa.

That opened a can of worms!!

I was told Macron made two bids, one for PL status, one for Championship status. The Macron bid for the Championship status was "substantially more" than Under Armour but less for the PL equivalent.

Dear old Tom obviously felt we'd get out of trouble!!

From what I've been told today, we certainly haven't got the best deal available. Not by a long shot.

So even the kit deal, his one self-proclaimed telling contribution to the club, can be just about chalked-off...

Unfortunately once this is all clouded in "commercial confidentiality" we'll never know whether this is true or not.

They're going to get good coverage. We'll be on the box more than Man Yanited next season.

Very true.

The thing about this guy was that Villa wouldn't have been mentioned had it not been for me starting to talk about our shirt from last season on the wall.

I could tell, everything he said was from the heart and it was obviously a little raw too. The was nothing contrived that's for sure.

I suppose Villa would say it's all about the name, people won't buy macron because it's perceived as uncool whereas Under Armour have a more reputable name so people will be more willing to buy it.

Sorry to drag this one back out, but if this story is true, and there is no reason to believe it isn't, I hope this is one of the bullets that was loaded into the gun to shoot Fox.

It seem a shocking commercial decision to have made.

Getting rid of Macron might be good just because most of us associate them with the mediocrity of the last few years.  Clean break and all that.
