No logic behind this but I have a lot of faith in Remi as for Fox and the rest of the hierarchy very little.

There will be that many rumours flying around today, I wouldn't be automatically assuming the Michu one is true.

Should imagine that they have tryed a number of signings, but for various reasons it has not happened, also sure that Remi and the famous transfer quango had options A, B and C for whatever positions they had identified and again alot of the names we are hearing are just lazy journalists not doing their research. The question that we will never know is what amount was Remi given to get these players, which of course would determine the level of quality.
The gap between parachute payment (34 mill) I believe and TV deal for Prem 99 million = 65 million, I would hazard a guess that Remi was told he had about 5 million max and they had to fall into our new wage structure, maybe that is why we have found it so hard to do any business.
Alternatively, we could have said "we're up for £99m so let's spend some to get players in that will bridge the 10 point gap".
Amazing approach, really.

Well this it then the last day.I wonder if the committee had any intention of bringing in anybody? We shall see later on tonight.Remi should consider his options.

Mister E agree with you totally but that is obviously not the case, we have heard stated enough times, throw the right amount and they will sign, not with our working figures.

Now that Gabby is back in favour and loved by everyone, could Kozak be on his way out???

Personally i would sell virtually anyone, for me we need to start clearing the decks for the Championship.

Tom Fox on 17th December 2015 "We're developing a network of scouts which the club have never had before to look into European football markets and I was pleased that we were able to attract someone of (sporting director) Hendrik Almstadt's quality from a great club like Arsenal."

So far nothing. What a fine job you are all doing. We might get a right back in (who we don't really need) and who's hanging on incase someone else comes in for him.

Shirt sales or season tickets won't be on the rise this summer Tom.

Between 17th of December and now we lost three six pointers to Watford, Sunderland and Norwich and became adrift.  That is the root cause of our recruitment problems.

It's in The Sun so it absolutely must be true.

But there's direct quotes from Michu and his brother.

There will be that many rumours flying around today, I wouldn't be automatically assuming the Michu one is true.

His brother Hernan is team boss. He said: “I had a meeting with a person who works for Villa''

''I’ve had a few offers but I want to be honest with myself in terms of my fitness so I turned it down''

The Sun could also be fabricating the whole story but this isn't one of those mysterious ''sources suggest'' reports.

Newcastle's splurge did make me think Gomis might be a rumour for us today, mostly because of the Lyon connection.
