Loved both Islands

Me and the Missus had Coffèe and cakes for 4euros in total at Gozo. Near one of the ancient temples.

Defo a place to revisit. The churches are incredible - the one in Mostar clearly influenced by Moors or their equiavelent cousins.

To bring the thread meandering back to transfers, the striker at Utrect, Haller, that we were said to be interested in, is joining Norwich for 6.5 million. Looked quite useful in clips, although so did Gestede.

I do hope that we bring in a couple of forward options though. Half way through jan a couple of players to lift thing a bit more would be useful.

I agree, and after all the razzmatazz with introducing the new Chairman today we now need to concentrate on signing players, unless we have have completely given up any hope of staying up. Get on with it Villa!!

Interesting the Bristol City and Derby want the Bauvue or whatever he is called from Lyon.

It shows the top half championship sides are able to attract players from the European leagues easily enough if they do get him.

Could be, or it might be that we are just waiting to see where we are by the end of the month.  If we still have a decent chance at the end of the month, we might roll the dice if the money is there.

More than that, it just signals surrender. The club should have bene in full panic mode all of December lining up the targets agreeing to terms arrive at Villa first week in January.

Instead it appears we are taking a measured and calm approach looking for value and good fits in the market. Thats fine when you have that luxury .. BUT WE ARE GETTING RELEGATED AS IT STANDS FFS!

My apologies for caps but there seems to be this massive disconnect between the catastophe unfolding that the fans see versus the serene slow paced approach Fox & Lerner seem to be embracing. It is panic time. Start panic buying.

but what's the point of panic buying ciggies if we are down? Maybe a more measured approach  is required  - identifying the players who will be instrumental in trying to get us back up rather than hiring payday mercenaries who will do nothing other than bleed us white. Just playing Devil's Advocate here!
