Are all buses on Malta from the 1930's and driven by complete maniacs? I went on one from Sliema to Mellieha and the bus had all the windows open, dust and debris flying through it like shrapnel and driving on the wrong side of the road pretty much round blind bends nearly hitting other cars numerous times. On the return journey another driver pretty much told the woman sitting behind him to shut the fuck up, with her bursting out in tears and sobbing for the rest of the journey. Maybe it was just a bad day on the buses.

I don't think I ever saw that episode.

We looked at holidaying in Gozo once.

Sinclair is a strange one, there's times he looks gash but he has scored 9 in in 31 games for us, 23 starts. Which isn't bad at all for a player that isn't a striker.

The Maltese fan club flew Gary Shaw over back in 2007 apparently. I tried to find them, but failed. I did find a group on Facebook but had my membership request rejected. I don't look that shifty, but I did see a few posts moaning about the group's inactivity so I guess it's lying dormant. I used to know some Villa fans living here but they have all gone back to Blighty now so I have suffered this season alone.

I've been to Malta on numerous occasions, my old dear took me a few times as it was her favourite place. I went back 4 years ago, my daughters first ever holiday and whilst we were there I scattered my Mum's ashes in St Julian's Bay (where she used to holiday).

We actually stopped in Mellieha at the Maritim Antonin, had a wonderful time and we're going back to Mellieha this year and we are stopping at the db Seabank Resort.

Lovely country, friendly people, great food, cheap beer and plenty of sun. What's not to like.
