Some splendid haircuts there, my favourite being Pat McMahon at 1:40.
I've only looked at that once but, I think there's a lad on there by the name of Brian Rowan. Played in defence, centre half/full back?

He played in a hevy defeat 3-0 I think at Watford and nothing was ever seen of him again.

Brian Tiler somehow managed to head through his own goal from the edge of the box. It was the day the previous seasons amazing Tommy Doc euphoria was well and truly killed off - he was gone a couple of months later.

Yes mate it was the day that Doc lost the plot, played Tiler in midfield I recall and was starting to bring back players he had bombed out such as Hole, Edwards, Chatterley, Rudge and Godfrey in a last resort to turn the tide as we were rooted to the foot of the second division. About this time he signed John Phillips from Shrewsbury and Emment Kapengwe and Freddie Mwila from the NASL, and George Curtis to try and instill some much-needed grit, but constantly chopping and changing the team to no avail led to the final straw which was the 5-3 home defeat by Portsmouth
