Not a great half. We need to work on defence.

Ayew looks like he has something about him, if only we can find a way to unleash him properly.

Really? I'm nervous it's quite the opposite. I think we're pretty well organized and sharp on the ball but we just have no driving force up top. Gabby needs to give us more, he's having trouble holding the ball up top.

For me Gabby is a weight we can no longer afford to carry, he's almost always completely ineffectual.  Fails to complete nearly all of his passes and can't shoot for toffee.

No shots. Where have we seen that before?
Well we can't even say the players have reverted to type, as so many weren't part of the last 4 soporific seasons.

Need the creativity of a Grealish or Gil it seems...

Wouldn't mind Veretout being given a shot in the role. Really worry about Sinclair's temperament, clearly has ability but if things don't go well for him initially not sure about his bottle

I very much doubt his ability. All fart, no shit.

Set my alarm for 4.30am to give myself 5mins to wake up before the coverage starts but my dog had other ideas... It started scratching T my bedroom door half an hour early to let me know,  not that it wanted to go outside,  but, that it had already shat O  the kitchen floor and wanted me to clean it up.

Don't know what score she's predicting but whatever happens from here on in I guess this an omen for the future about whether I bother waking up early for live games around this time in the morning.

Haha. Similar situation here in Tokyo, mate. Early mornings, but without the poo.

The one positive on Ayew is that he is making smart runs that Gabby never does. One in particular did not come off when Gana tried to slide him through from the top of the box, but it was still a savvy run and had not Carrick or Smalling gotten a foot to it, he would have been in. Let's face it, longs balls are probably not the way to go with either Ayew or Gabby...

The ref has got to have seen that, he's looking straight at them as Darmian is holding Richards by the throat, I'm calling cheat on it.

Yes, I think the times he's had the ball at his feet and was driving forward he's looked like he might have something.

Re: Gabby.  Oftentimes, Ayew has been the furthest forward with Gabby almost in midfield.

Well Im not to upset with the first half. Okay too many long balls up to the strikers but with all the new faces we've had we've made Man Utd look very ordinary. Our closing down has been decent and we should have had a penalty.

The goal was also a bit unfortunate Guzan probably had it covered.

Im worried about Ayew. Reminds me of myself when ive played against opposition well above my own ability. Cant evenget on the ball to make a mistake

Gil Grealish Traore Gestede in that team would make a huge difference - I like the look of Gueye so far but Bacuna worries me at full back and Gabby is shit tbh
