What was Darmian doing there? And how the referee missed it?
There's a difference between missed and ignored.

Need the creativity of a Grealish or Gil it seems...

Wouldn't mind Veretout being given a shot in the role. Really worry about Sinclair's temperament, clearly has ability but if things don't go well for him initially not sure about his bottle

I'm going to be charitable and assume that the defenders and Westwood have been specifically told to keep attempting these shit long balls down the channels because the new players need time to gel.

Both teams are flooding to put 10 men behind the ball as soon as possession is lost just taking any space ahead of the ball, and we just aren't moving well enough to string short passes together anywhere in our forward half.

How much have they paid for that Darmian?Because he's shit to the extent I'd be worried about them trying to swap him for Hutton.

Ayew looks like he has something about him, if only we can find a way to unleash him properly.

I'm not quite sure why, but Shaw reminds me of a cartoon pepper pot.

In the real world,I like Veretout, his quick one touch passes need to be taken advantage of by our players.

Ayew and Gabby both stood static when they could have attacked the near post on Veretout's cross there and actually put a challenge on Romero... flat footed in attack.

We are lacking ambition here and the front line looks blunt. Like the last game they are playing too far apart. I don't like this system.

On the plus side, by the sounds of it we can definitely get something out of this. Come on Villa!
