No surprise there.  They obveriously feel they have a prospect who belong can make an impact in their first team and that being at Villa has not helped his progress.  Hash but fair I guess.

If they take him back without any loss to us then fair enough

Adama has barely had a chance. Why he can't get in this rubbish team is beyond me.

I wouldn't blame him though, wanting to get out of the place a quickly as possible.

He'll probably turn out to be a superstar, just not with us.

That's my fear. In the right team with confidence, he is a potential superstar.

I suppose if we flogged everyone else worth a bean we could just about afford to keep him in the Chumps League. Personally, we just haven't seen enough of him to know whether he's a magician or a one trick pony.

Quote
Barcelona have been in ‘fluid’ contact with the Spaniard as they consider their options for the summer transfer window.

Isn't that tapping up if anyone else does it?

Another one who might as well not exist for all he has contributed to this season.

They will pay the same to us as we did to take him. So given we have paid his wages all season its just the typical Villa decision.

How is it a typical Villa decision? There's loads to beat us with without having to make things up. He got injured against Notts County when it looked like he might be about to get going. He never recovered since for any number of reasons.

Might want to learn to read. I never  "made things up". The clause is £7 Million which is the same that Villa paid for him. They could have agreed a clause that was slightly higher (say £8 Million) than what the paid to cover their expenses. As it stands, Barca get him back, he goes back and we have paid his wages for a year. Brilliant business sense.

The biggest waste of genuine talent I have ever seen. Playing Rudy Gestede and need a bit of width? Give Traore about 200 minutes of football all season and play people out wide who can't cross a ball = win.

Not much we could have done as he's been injured most of the season.

I read fine. I'm asking what is "typical Villa" about it? And the clause is a buy back option in the first three years. How do you know what the value is?
