I think the only thing we need is another good and experienced centre back. If they decide to bring in more quality in other areas I won't complain but I think we're ok.

No it's more about spending the money to improve the areas that need improving. We aren't there yet defensively IMHO . Tonight will probably highlight the need for better players at RB and another top CB , we will see how westwood handles the middle of the park aswell.

Well, if you're 'literally buzzing' your tits off now, I think we'd all pay to see what the result of three extra signings would be.

Balague from sky sports says: Adama, new Aston Villa player for €10m+ €2 in variables: fast, irregular, too individualistic and has to be more humble. Got my doubts

That's reassuring because he is one of the biggest twats going. He also said that Man City would clean up last season with Pellegrini in charge

So it has nothing at all to do with net spend.

What I'm excited about most is this young man's brain. He appears to have one. This goes against everything Aston Villa has stood for for the last five years. It feels like a new dawn.

I know we have a reasonably good set up for young players but it does not compare with 10 years developing at Barcelona. He has had the ingredients, now we need to see his attitude to taking his career further.

Did Tim actually describe him as 'a little bit Messi, a little bit Ronaldo' - no pressure!

Now you've got the Monkees 'A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You' going round in my head.

I'm hoping people like Grealish and Green will pay attention to him in training and maybe pick up on the differences.  Even justa  few small changes to how they prepare in training might be important.

I went straight from 6 to midnight when I heard it was confirmed. Potentially one of our all time great bits of business.

and last time we were linked to Barcelona was bringing in Gary Lineker back home. (But never happens) I think it is first time we had a player from Barcelona or Real Madrid. It is nice. Can't wait for tonight match. Welcome to Villa Park Adama :) It is better than Nou Camp ;)

We need to do one of these as a big banner, but change it to AVFC 1874 etc,
