I've heard he's afraid of flying, that's why it's been delayed. He cor jet over from Barcelona.

So Mali (if true or it happens), Ghana, maybe Mali, Senegal...not sure I'm too keen on that many Africans in the team who would be potentially first-team players.

Any particular reason, or just a bit of casual racism?

Nothing casual I just really really hate black people.

So is no one going to challenge this comment? I can not believe that it has escaped any form of censure from other users or moderators.

It's a joke. He doesn't really hate black people, he's reacting to the suggestion it was casual racism by playing up to the suggestion.

He's a well known poster on here, who everyone knows is entirely un-racist.

I can understand how a casual user might not understand this context, though.

peter w? Never heard of him. Racist.

So do we actually know how much this release clause is...I've seen figures ranging from £4m to £12m already today. Also if the buy back clause is written into the contract then surely it can't be for the same price we bought him for...or is that likely to be a condition in the original release clause?

Usually it is a bit more than you buy them for. I am sure Gil has one that is around 15 million but might be slightly less.

If only you were all geeky enough to do highly relevant Battlestar Galactica puns.

So say we all.

Mustard and Crespo down the right flank. Sounds tasty.

He looks like he's great on the ball and a good runner. Be an interesting signing and could arrive today.

Er...which airport though? Better not beJohn Lennon!

Staverton

You mean Worcestershire Airport.  No such thing as Staverton Airport.

Or Gloucestershire Airport, even ;)

or even Cheltenham International ?

It's on the Gloucester side of the M5 so I wouldn't have thought so. Can towns be "International" anyway?

Having just driven past, I can state that there are currently no aircraft movements at "Eddie Edwards International Airport at Churchdown"

As far as Cheltenham is concerned, its more important than London, NYC and Tokyo put together. Pretentiousness capital of the planet.

I still don't accept it could be true - Traore at Villa Park.

Subtle.

I've read it about a dozen times, and I know, *know*, there's a pun there, I just can't see it.

I feel defeated.

I've finally got it. You'll kick yourself Paulie.

Spoiler for Hiden:
beetroot

Its not fair. Damon is a professional wordsmith. He should be banned from the punfests

Hopefully his buy back clause will be at least double what we pay for him.
