Apart from them saying it will be announced tomorrow and having that Hunter bloke waxing lyrical about him joining Villa.

Be nice to have him signed and ready for Friday. We could at least put him on the bench to bring on against the Mancs.

So Mali (if true or it happens), Ghana, maybe Mali, Senegal...not sure I'm too keen on that many Africans in the team who would be potentially first-team players.

Any particular reason, or just a bit of casual racism?

Nothing casual I just really really hate black people.

So is no one going to challenge this comment? I can not believe that it has escaped any form of censure from other users or moderators.

It's a joke. He doesn't really hate black people, he's reacting to the suggestion it was casual racism by playing up to the suggestion.

He's a well known poster on here, who everyone knows is entirely un-racist.

I can understand how a casual user might not understand this context, though.

Unless Shaw has improved massively as a defender in the last few months I'd love to see someone with this level of skill running at him for the last 20-25 minutes.

He's certainly fatter than he used to be, so in that sense he'll be harder to get past.

This is just like like when we signed a certain French player winger before we played Man Utd.One of my favourite games watching the Villa.

I'm pretty narked my brother hasn't told me before that he's got a mate 'on the inside'.

Sounds good, we'd all love it to be true, but still want official confirmation before cracking open the beers to celebrate, sorry!

3 year contract ? At 12mil is quite steep as he'll just leave after 3 years . Needs a 4 to 5 year contract like Westwood

One can never be sure of how a signing will turn out but as arugula thumb someone of his pedigree looks certain to be a success.
