Has anyone seen much of Callum Wilson? I'd be surprised if Bournemouth are willing to sell. It's als ridiculous that he's priced at £10m, the same we apparently bid for embolo

We're linked with obbi oulare who is seen to have lots of potential but isn't a regular starter yet at 19. So would definitely be one for the future / irregular use this season

We have a target man in Kozak let find someone who can feed from him ....Bererinho from the Baggies - Spurs bidding 15 mill lets match it and see what happens ...... would totally upset the Baggies fans but worth a shout. Also then go for a back up like Bamford

We need a proven 1 in 2 striker, preferably playing at a high standard league, within our wage structure, up for a relegation-mid table battle and with excellent sellonability.

Go for it Tim!

I think we need 2 new strikers in. Like others have said it's a pity Weimann has gone. At this time all we have up front is Kozak who we don't know how good he is, and Gabby who we could also do with moving on.

Someone worth mentioning from the Belgian leagues is Obbi Oulare. Raw, a crossing between Lukaku and Benteke, fee would only be 5m max and could turn out to be the next Beast in three years time.

I'm glad you read H&V, Timmy

Agree we need 2 strikers and Gabby should go. Disagree about Weimann not Premier league quality. Charlie Austin would certainly be one of my choices, proven Prem striker.

You just know it's going to be that c*** Adebayor though don't you. The incoming transfers are going a bit too well at the moment, you just know we're going to get at least one shit one.

Why's he a ******? And on what basis is he "shit", bearing in mind he's had a pretty decent scoring record for most of his career?

Apparently his attitude is shit, if you listen to what's been said about him for years. We hardly need that kind of influence in the dressing room.

His attitude seemed absolutely fine playing under Sherwood. I've never seen anything much suggesting he's a problem. Just people saying that as he's on massive wages it must mean he's a mercenary or only after one last pay day, rather than jumping to the more logical conclusion that he's on massive wages as he's generally been very good throughout his career.

I remember hearing some story about an unhappy dressing room at Arsenal due to a little clique of players making life difficult for the rest, with Adebayor being the main problem, and that's why Wenger got rid of him and a couple of others at the time. There was also a lot of rumours he wasn't very popular at Man City too.
He's also 31, may well have peeked, and I feel very sure he's not going to have the kind of attitude that you need scrapping for points at the wrong end of the table. Not for me I'm afraid.

I hope we don't sign Adebayor.

Mostly because I'm terrified we'll see that cringepipe-rupturing salute thing happen again.

Wenger "got rid of him"? They wanted him to stay. He moved to a more successful club. Just like Nasri, Clichy, Van Persie and Anelka.

Rumours of him being a bad influence at Arsenal seem to have only spread since he left... they loved him when he was there.

I think other clubs do research before buying players and you don't get signed by, in succession, Man City, Real Madrid and Tottenham (hateful though it is to admit it, they're streets ahead of us at present) if you're a trouble-maker.

As it'll mean we've just scored, I reckon I could live with it.

What was his 'length of the pitch' celebration all about when he scored against Arsenal.  There seemed to be more in it than getting back at the fans.
