Kozak looked like the classic 6 yard box poacher before his injury. He'll get his share of scruffy goals.

Rumours on twitter of a 10m bid for Embolo.

Can't believe he'd cost that much. But he does look quite handy via you know where

He's a Champions League level goalscorer.

Even at 18 they don't come cheap.

It's a Swiss journalist on Twitter that has posted about the bid.

It looks a bit of a rash move getting rid of Weimann so soon. I'd have probably let Gabby go instead and think we still need to try and offload him if we can.

I only saw a bit of Kozak before his injury, but I think he can do some kind of job for us, maybe on a similar level to Weimann. You'd also hope one of the youngsters will come in to the reckoning.

I'd be tempted to look abroad again and sign a proven quality goal scorer and then also take another punt on a promising youngster. Someone who has already started to draw attention to themselves, but maybe not had much more than a full season.

Whatever's left over from the benteke money after the Genk cut and any money we can get for Gabby needs to be fully invested in two new strikers. No fucking about, identify the targets and go out and get them.

As things stand, we look to be right in the shit at the moment. But you'd hope the club would've made plans for Benteke leaving and started doing their homework early.

Can't agree about Weimann one jot, it was a year too late I reckon. I'm not worried at the moment, just relieved that Delph and Benteke weren't snatched from us on transfer deadline day.

Bony won't happen in a million years, Austin & someone young / promising like Bamford.

I'd be over the moon if we got him for that to be honest.

I don't see the logic in Adebayor as a short term fix with a younger striker being brought in also.  Why not just use Kozak for the Adebayor role?

Whilst I don't want Adebayor, at least you'd almost guarantee some sort of goal return from him which can't be said of Kozak sadly

I thought he started to settle in well before he got injured.

Just never looked like being a proper goalscorer to me. Fingers crossed he can be, but it's a big gamble to have him as a second choice after being out for over a year IMHO

As one of four strikers (with two new ones and Gabby (AARGGH!) I guess it'd be ok though

Without looking the actual stat up, I'm sure his goal ration for us is something like 1 in every 2.  Admittedly that is over a limited number of games.

And I'm not sure about 4 strikers when we're likely to play 1 upfront - seems a waste of resources to me.

For all his faults and major questions you don't have a broadly one in two record over a career playing for clubs including arsenal, citeh, Real Madrid and spurs without being a bloody good player.

I'm coming round to it a bit. But I don't know if he's in the right place mentally and his wages are absurd. But he does only have one yr left on the contract and isn't going to get a similar deal elsewhere.

100 per cent no. He's too old with too much ego and too much baggage. We want younger, fresher, exciting committed and eager players. Five or six years ago maybe - but at 25 he wouldn't have come. Don't forget there's a reason spurs a desperate to get rid.

Not as a replacement for Benteke but maybe for Weimann would be Gestede from Blackburn. Always thought he was a good player
Good choice. We could upgrade on Benteke by signing Ideye Brown.

I think we need two strikers, one established and one up and comer.

and one isn't Ideye Brown. Roy Chubby Brown would be just as comical.

Which group does Austin belong in? Not saying I want him, just wondering.
