Joint worst signing I can ever remember with N Zogbia, Balaban not far behind.

I've never agreed with the people who've said if they were the same as him and on a long contract, they'd see it out too, he was doing nothing wrong. He's got more money than any of us could ever dream of and if the bloke had one ounce of decency, respect, pride, once he'd realised he was not going to play again he would have offered to have his contract terminated. I would feel ashamed and embarrassed to ask a customer of mine for money for work I wasn't doing. The bloke is a stain thankfully now wiped away.

3 appearances in 3 years.  £6m - £7m in wages and a promotion bonus no doubt.

I blame the idiots that thought a 4 year contract and big wages for a bloke that had hardly played for the previous 3 seasons was a good idea, especially if we couldn't insure him. I don't blame him for taking the money, especially if he knows he'll never play again.

Yep your quite right PWS, however thankfully he’s off the books. What a bonkers period of time we’ve been through.

Yep. Why on earth would he walk away as some have suggested he should have done? Fuck that. I wouldn't have. He's the embodiment of how poorly we were being run not just that summer but for a number of years. Total fucking chaos. Micah Richards probably couldn't believe his luck that some mugs came along and gave him this deal. And you had Tim Nice but Dim pushing for it and other "English lads". As a club we got just what we deserved.

I totally agree, the idiots who offered him that contract were just as bad. But, i'd still like to think if I had multi millions in the bank and set up for life, never had to worry about money again, i'd have the self pride and decency to turn round and say i'm obviously not going to be fit to see out this contract so im happy to end it a couple of years early. I just wouldn't feel right...but then that's perhaps one of the reasons why I've not got two shillings to rub together!

The end of an era.

Surely, end of an error!  A massive one.

That seems to be the case, and I believe it to be so, but we may never know for sure.
