I'm amazed that the club couldn't have retired him early as he's clearly not been fit for the last 3 years. If he's not fit for the job he's paid for? I don't get it.

That's what surprises me - if he's genuinely injured and cannot play, then surely that is what insurance is for.

Do we not have insurance for players with career-ending injuries?

We never insured him because no insurance company would accept the policy with his injuries at the time, basically we bought a crock and as others have suggested serious questions have to be asked as to why we carried on with the purchase?

Some still can not accept we bought a player without insurance, but that is exactly what we did.
This signing represents everything about how this club was being run.

A big fuck off Micah! Thanks for fleecing the club for 3 years!
£60k per week can be put to far better use!

The money we have spunked up the wall in the last 10 years is unbelievable.  If we had saved it we could probably have used it to tempt Messi to play for us for a season. Unbelievable bad management that nearly sent us under.

I hope the days of signing injury plagued players are over with this manager and owners, can't believe how many millions have been wasted on the likes of MR.

2 more days.

I wish they'd do a proper send off for him down at Villa Park - you know, so we can all flick him the V's as he scuttles off to find his next "host"!

2 more days until what?

Bugger!  You're right!  I'm willing a month away.

Okay, 32 more days...I still think we should have him in stocks outside the ground for us to throw rotten veg at though!

Turns out I was right after all!!!  ;)

The nightmare of Micah Richards is finally over, amen to that!

I don't understand why the club should actually thank him for his services though, as he has blatantly taken the piss!

Unless someone signs him I think we have to pay him for June as well.

Probably, he will need that extra month to stop himself from going homeless! (FOMR)
