If I openly encouraged one of our leading performers to join a direct competitor, my employer would see that as gross misconduct. Just saying...

What rubbish. He was asked his opinion about a club he'd been with since he was a boy and he was always going to say good things about it. Blaming Richards for Delph moving is ridiculous.

No ones blaming him, just saying it doesn't sit right. After all, he's at he Villa now, rumoured Ł65k a week because he was frozen out at Citeh.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect him to say "Yeah it a good Club but it's a graveyard for English footballers once frozen out, that's why me and Scott are here".

I wish people would stop looking for excuses. You can blame his agent, the club, Richards all you like but ultimately he's a grown man who makes his own decisions and constructs his own lies.

But it doesn't need a fellow footballer to tell him that, he probably knew that anyway.

It wouldn't have made much difference if he had.

Then why bother asking anything then. And then throwing our new signing under the bus.

Delph has handled this about as poorly as its possible to.

Used to have a soft spot for them when they were a yo-yo club.

Now I hate Citeh.

Barry. Milner. Delph. And fucking Ireland.

You don't actually know that though do you.

After all Delph claims it was Richards conversation that helped him with his decision.  Although I'm not sure I trust what Fibian says anymore.

Dunne Sinclair Given. We do seem to trade with them a lot.

Of course I believe it. I'm sure he took advice from other people, not just Richards. Richards possibly asked Milner what kind of club we were before moving here, it happens.

If you're trying to find a scapegoat for Delph pledging his loyalty twice and still moving on, then you're picking on the wrong person.

Given and Dunne were ok-ish but Ireland was a complete waste of money.

We're not , just saying to stop running his mouth off inadvertently to the media about promoting a Delph move to ciŁy.

He was asked the question and he answered it. It's not as if he rang up Sky personally.
