I get the feeling that Linaker and Shearer are starting to get a little irritated by him.

Every time I see this thread bumped up I wonder what has that twat said now.

Same! I always get a sinking worry that we've employed him as a coach or something equally dystopian.

He doesn't have one redeeming feature.

Oh come on Axl, have you seen his biceps? He has two of those - at least.

Bit harsh, he'd surely make an excellent laughter yoga instructor.

'Laughter yoga'? I know it's been a while since I was over (2013) but clearly Erin has changed.

It’s taken them a while, he is a  buffoon.
Although there is not much insight from the others either.
Let’s have a jokey panel with a pantomime clown.

He's more than likely to have two brain cells but they ain't rubbing together.

I am fine wittonwarrior thank you for asking.  I forgot that he also has that incident on his palmares of doom in front of the Holte (against Everton?) when he dived to block a Villa shot when the ball was already 99% over the  goal line.

Useless waste of space shoehorned into punditry by Political Correctness while far better summarizers like Lee Hendrie feed on media scraps.
I agree that he is a waste of space, but think that he is in his position due to balance rather than political correctness - like having Nick Griffin on Question Time maybe?!? I think for spurious reasons the BBC want a range of pundits who represent whoever are the top clubs at the time. Now that Man City are clearly in this group, one of their ex-players needs in the BBC team, but because it is a relatively new situation, there aren’t that many candidates out there.

I can't imagine Shearer was terribly pleased with Richards last night when Richards said he had seen Shearer feigning injury in games!

Even if it is political correctness there are several black ex-players doing a good job,  Rio Ferdinand being an excellent example. There's no excuse to have this simpleton on the TV.

Can't stand most pundits to be honest.
Alex Scott is good. I don't actually mid Roy Keane and Gary Neville.
Really can't stand Danny Murphy.
Richards may be a good pundit - I don't actually know, I can't get over how he played for us to even concentrate on his words.
