I remember the year we won the First Division. First game of the next season was newly promoted Notts County at home. We came out on the pitch parading the First Division trophy with Queen's "We Are The Champions" blasting over the tannoy system all round the ground. Notts County were there for the slaughter. They beat us 1-0.
John Chidozie
I remember him. I bet Jimmy Sirrell was their manager too.

Man Utd at home might be good. They'll probably have a bunch of new players, perfect time to play them if so.

As long as we avoid the gunners first game, they are going to start on fire me thinks.

Sister in laws 60th birthday party up north that weekend - so hoping that we get drawn away, to a north western club.

Wouldn't mind Man. United early on either, get it out of the way at home and as we saw last season they were abysmal for the first few weeks and will probably have 4-5 new signings to fit in who may not actually be very good.

I always say every season we'll start by playing Spurs at home so one year I'll be right especially with the Sherwood connection now.

A home fixture would be nice for a change, we haven't had one since 2010.

When does the season start? I am in Florida until Saturday 14th so if it's then I'm hoping we start away.

I'd have liked Chelsea in the Community Shield at Wembley.

Sigh.
