The only positive I can draw is that sherwood and any new owners in waiting have a clear understanding of the massive rebuilding job that's required this summer. The result will leave a bad taste in the mouth this summer

Well I didnt know I was going till Thursday evening, thanks to my son getting me a ticket for my birthday.
He also organised transport so spent the day with him & his mates.
Saw so many people I,ve not seen for years & made so many new friends on the grassy knoll outside the Holiday Inn.
Then the game started...

Could have been worse....can you imagine being an Athletico Madrid fan after the European Cup Final last year?

Today is the 150th Anniversary of the first sermon in the then new Aston Villa Wesleyan Chapel.

Lifted from the excellent birminghamhistory.co.uk website, a clipping from the Birmingham Post 29/5/1865.

Rejoice!

Half of that shite won't be there next season.

I think you'll find they will be ;)

From Sherwoods comments, he is going to bomb a number out. Whether anybody buys them is a different matter, but as long as they're not stinking the pitch out I don't care.

It took me nearly that long from New Street to Sandwell and Dudley due to signalling problems. Perfect end to a marvellous evening.

My boy slept for six and a half hours when I got back, so I'm not sleep deprived.

I look forward to inflicting such misery on him in a couple of years.
