Was anybody else completely staggered by the Arsenal fans who couldn't be bothered to stay to watch their side lift the Cup?

They are like spoilt kids.

Just to rub it in a bit more this morning coming into Kiings Cross and on the escalator was subjected to many ads offering me a guided tour of the Emirates stadium. All I needed was Giroud's smug face staring at me.
I can beat that. Couldn't sleep after the game so went for a walk first thing. Two minutes in along comes a bloke in an Arsenal home shirt, first Arsenal shirt I've seen in 10 years of living here.

I felt like crying.

Gobsmacked - when we got back on the tube having left at the final whistle going back to Stanmore after the game we had quite a few of them on - all having gone to the game. Why would you do that?

I've now seen my team in an FA Cup final, I witnessed much graciousness from many Villa fans in heavy defeat and remonstration  with those who couldn't handle it.The manager knows now what a big clear out he has to undertake and must have the remit to do so.I believe he has the guts and reason to do so. But best of all the whole charade of 14/15 is over and I can forget about football for a couple of months. Sad Villa fan this morning but that will fade . U TV

And your post sums up my feelings exactly BG. Tim Sherwood  would no doubt like to take drastic and immediate action but I bet the powers that be at Aston Villa stop him doing it. Personally I don't think he has a chance of trying to improve the club unless Mr Lerner actually sells up.

I am not sure he is going to make that decision!

What a big shame that the players will regret that final.

A few might, I suspect the majority will go on holiday to Vegas or Dubai tomorrow and will have forgotten all about it by the time the first glass of Champagne hits the back of their necks in the first class lounge.  Hopefully they're the ones given the good news by Sherwood yesterday.  And I'll be quite happy to drive that useless tub 'o' lard N'Zogbia to his next employer, may he never pull a Villa shirt on again in his life.

It wasn't the prawn sandwich bunch. I walked out in a strop on 76 minutes and met Arsenal fans walking back down Wembley Way who had their free scarf and Flag with them.

To my eternal discredit, I lost my shit at one of them sat opposite me on the tube.

That 'strop' he had when he played they crap ball to Grealish (I think) was unforgivable. Get rid

I still can't get over the fact we had no shots in a cup final.
NO BLOODY SHOTS.
We didn't even create half a chance for a sniff of a shot.

It was absolutely criminal.

There's only been one advantage for me. I've been writing a horror film, with a deadline later today. Been struggling all week because this bloody final has been on the brain, among other things.
However last night and this morning as I try to think up gruesome demises I've suddenly found it remarkably easier. Though nothing I've written is quite as brutal as the slaughtering witnessed from 5.30-7.30 yesterday.

Had Sinclair, Bakuna and Guzan started, it might have been a different story.  Given made a couple of decent saves but you would have thought he made saves of the century according to the bbc commentary.  He then was poor for 3 goals,  why was nobody on the post for the 3rd.

Not so sure about Guzan as Given wasn't that bad but I think Bacuna and either Sinclair or Gabby might have given us a bit more of threat going forward.

Richardsons block from woolcott at 0-0 is phenomenal.

I've just watched it again for 30 mins in - fuck knows why - I suppose I just wanted to check how bad we were.

N'Zogbia of the first goal, fuck me, just stands still.  Given on the second, sorry, I know it moved in the air but you expect better than that, Benteke on the third, again fuck me, weak as piss, fourth was poor from Bacuna, but I also thought offside anyway.

Cleverley, the game just passed him by, N'Zogbia, stole a living for far too long that bloke. Benteke, a performance Paul Furlong would have been proud of.

Ref was very poor - not that it affected the result - but truly very poor.  Blowing up for free kicks against us for fuck all and giving us nothing when Gabby gets hacked down.  Card happy very early on too. Looked starstruck.

All in all we were dreadful again - somehow hoped it'd look a bit better second time around - we didn't.

I thought he was one of the only players who really gave his all. He made a few great challenges too. It's just a shame he's always injured.
Compare him to how pathetic N'Zogbia was. Unbelievable.

Sherwood would have to be given substantial funds just for us to be able to give teams like stoke and Swansea a game. Sadly anything more than that is out of our reach.
