Weimann, Gill, Nzogbia, and Agbonlahor will be the most probable departures. Plus a few more.

I don't care about the names of the players coming in. They just need to be better mentally and physically than the ones we have. He can find them in Sunday league, Tottenham reserves or Ligue 1 for all I care. As long as they are winners and have pride wearing our kit.

I don't want shit Tottenham reserves.

Better than what we have is meaningless when what we have is so poor.

I'm sick of this endless cycle of buying shit players every window and us pretending they're not shit and rolling out that "I'll wait and see what they do for us till I judge" bollocks.

Look at last summers business for an example. The signings of a club preparing for life in the championship.

One thing which we are going to have to do is buy better players. That is non negotiable.unavoidable.

If we don't it'll just be more of the same next year, and we've already pushed it as far as you can without getting relegated.

I've had enough of the can't be arsed lethargy of this club. Five years ago there wasn't much difference between us and arsenal. Now it is a massive chasm.

The owner needs to move us on to someone who can care more than just one day a season, or it'll be more of the same.

I bought 2 cars today, knowing I would need something to deflect from Villa's incessant ineptitude.

well so we stayed up by skin of the teeth and got a drubbing today. no shame in the performance though, we were just beaten by a better team. nice moment was Prince William's face after they went 3-0 up?

you have to cling to small things when you get a beating so at least the future king of England supports Aston Villa.

I thought Tim looked close to tears up at the royal box at the end, enormous overhaul needed, hopefully Lerner or new owners will back him properly, glad its all over I need a rest, I seem to say the same thing every season.

The best thing about today is that we at least have some breathing space to try and make the changes needed. And that I can forget about football for a while.

I just hope Lerner finally fucks off though. If we get a Summer similar to last years then we are going to be in big trouble.

That would be lovely, but I'm preparing myself for the worst.

I don't what I am preparing myself for Dave. Every summer feels better than the last, natural for the optimistic football fan and yet at least recently each season feels like a harsher, sharper kick in the balls. I'd settle for a shit summer in the transfer market only to be shocked that a miracle has occurred and we play well all year. Off course in all likelihood we will get the shit summer, shit season combo meal deal.
Yup, all too true.

I can see myself now on September 1st posting about how Andros Townsend might prove value for money at £12m and not shank every cross and shot into the Holte like he's done all his career and that it might just be for the best that Carlos Gil becomes one of the better players in La Liga rather than the Premier League following his £1m transfer to Villareal.

Such is the life we have chosen.

that is unfair in my opinion. Their 2nd goal was a wonder goal, how does that equate to bottling it? Arsenal have better players and we had tactics wrong like leaving GA on the bench.

Utter humiliation from start to finish. Hard to know what to say just I hope a number of those players never wear the shirt again. Looks like Sinclair has been signed under duress, if he couldn't get a game today..,.

As for tactics Tim, how he didn't realise that Hutton needed protection early on beggared belief. Surely was a straight forward change to four in midfield was very obvious from early on. Yet he was paralysed by fear like the players on the pitch.
We made Arsenal look a better version of Barcelona today, that's the tragic part

Yes it's a lot more than the players is the point I was making. Part of it, a large part is the culture that exists at the club. Last summer it was Lambert and Lerner. It was only going to go one way once we all realized Lambert was waving the white flag and that despite a decent start. I not only want better players but players coming in with the right attitude. And a big piece of that is the manager. Lambert accepted mediocrity and failure. I'm hoping Sherwood buys players be it with Lerner's money or a new bloke that never do.
