I don't what I am preparing myself for Dave. Every summer feels better than the last, natural for the optimistic football fan and yet at least recently each season feels like a harsher, sharper kick in the balls. I'd settle for a shit summer in the transfer market only to be shocked that a miracle has occurred and we play well all year. As for tactics Tim, how he didn't realise that Hutton needed protection early on beggared belief. Surely was a straight forward change to four in midfield was very obvious from early on. Yet he was paralysed by fear like the players on the pitch.

Yes it's a lot more than the players is the point I was making. Part of it, a large part is the culture that exists at the club. Last summer it was Lambert and Lerner. It was only going to go one way once we all realized Lambert was waving the white flag and that despite a decent start. I not only want better players but players coming in with the right attitude. And a big piece of that is the manager. Lambert accepted mediocrity and failure. I'm hoping Sherwood buys players be it with Lerner's money or a new bloke that never do.
