From BBC:

Tim Sherwood has just said:" Some of the boys have been told they will not be here next year and they can go and find other clubs."

Too many feeble-minded thickos in the team. We need to up our collective IQ.

That trip home will be a laugh. You just knew this moment was coming. And I support him 100%. It's been a fucking resort down there for too long.

We really, really need new ownership. And we also need to spend money. More than we'll get when we flog Benteke.

I am hoping they've been told that after the match rather than before.

He's angry.  Clearly he thought they failed to give their best.

Given how we played, you wonder if he said that before the game.

Time for the embarrassing Randy Lerner era to end and for Villa to start all over again. Thank Christ for no football for a couple of months.

That's made me laugh - the best antidote for the last few hours.

I'd imagine those that didn't make the bench today will be the main ones....Weimann not making the 18 today is an obvious sign and sadly Gil not making it either looks ominous.

We need to sign proper premier league players to replace some of those though....Charlie Austin, Neil Taylor etc.

It just can't be lower league punts again as if Benteke goes I think we'll go down in those circumstances as he's bailed us out so often in the last three years.

I imagine some already knew and some just got their pink slips. He has had to work with what he was given, but today might just have been the final straw on others. We don't just need new players. We need to change the culture at the club. We've become a bunch of accepting losers, doormats for others to step on. I'm fucking sick of it and hopefully the manager has clocked on to that too and feels the same way.

TS has already said that there are too many players with a losers attitude in the squad and he intends to bring some in who are "winners". Who these are will be interesting.
Come on down Steven Caulker, Andros Townsend and Tom Carroll.

Good. The ONE thing I can take hope from today is if Sherwood is so livid he guts the squad and demands money from Lerner to replace them.

Of the players we release, I'm guessing not many will be spending much time in the Premier League from now on.
