This whole shenanigans could have been avoided if the design was simply pro-Villa without unnecessary hidden messages or agenda...a nicely designed 20m flag of the old Villa badge would have been epic, legendary and no doubt would have had the support of the majority of Villa fans without being inflammatory to anyone. Again, without meaning to be cynical...but MOMS don't have a t-shirt design with just the old Villa badge for sale so I doubt such a sensible truly iconic design would have even been considered.
