I take it we don't need Lerner to be at Villa Park now.
He's so fickle he'll probably be interested now. Ha ha only joking, Fox is running the show and he's been brave enough to appoint Tim Sherwood. Who'd of thought it?

Fantastic. I bloody missed the first half too! Well done all by the sounda of it.

Seems funny to think that Charlie and Cleverly were the main contenders for MOM....but they were.

The times they are a changing!

They can all get MOM for me. In fact they can have a free car. In fact everyone gets a car. EVERYONE GETS A CAR!

Brilliant, just fantastically, magically brilliant. Can't remember the last time I felt like I couldn't wait for the next game, it's a good feeling to have back.
I fkn love you, Villa.

Sunderland are such a brilliant match up for our pacey attacking players, everytime we attacked today you thought we were going to score. Another club ruined by Martin O'Neill I'd suggest.

Don't want them to go down.

I'd be disappointed to only finish 17th now, we should be looking forward to the rest of the season given some of the fixtures and finish strongly in the league. The cup will look after itself.

The match commentator said in the second half"Aston Villa are painting their patterns on the canvas"

Bloody Hell!

They did give the ball away right after that comment. They wouldn't be our Aston Villa if they didn't do that sort of thing though.

Sunderland message board is worth a chuckle of two.

Their match thread has nearly 1,200 posts.

Villa double their away goals record for the entire season to this point in one half of football against us. Well done Tim Sherwood.

Great result and a fantastic feeling. We should be looking to climb up the table now, but Man City hammering Burnley would be very welcome as well.

I don't want them to go down either, especially as we're becoming a bogey team for them.

But I think they're in trouble if either QPR or Burnley get into a run of form.  Although Connor Wickham is probably due to turn up in the last few games.

When I don't go I usually have a news blackout until full time. Thought I would give it twenty minutes and bang what any easy afternoon it turned out to be. Thank you Mr Sherwood. UTV

Just realised - before today we'd only scored 4 goals away ALL SEASON! Fair play to those who go to away games - their loyalty has finally been rewarded
