if results go our way next week we could be nearly ten points clear of the drop zone

Theres a tiny bit of me that's pissed off that we didnt score more, given our dominance and how awful Sunderland were.

Its only a tiny bit though, this is the best couple of weeks to be a Villa fan for some time.

I take it we don't need Lerner to be at Villa Park now.

Wow. I wish to apologize to mr sherwood for doubting his appointment.

Me too. If it helps I've still got a bit of humble pie left over from the Albion wins

Great to see us playing so well from start to finish, the attacking intent, the creating of chances, it's been so long since i've seen us looking like this. Great performances from Clark, Benteke, Gabby, Nzogbia, Bacuna, as well as plenty of others on the pitch. Playing like a team, one who want to win. Really happy. UTV

Man City thrashing Burnley would be the icing and round off a nice day

That 'nearly' nearly got me! Positive thinking ... are you related to Sir Timothy?

If they're in the market for a new manager...

Sunderland message board is worth a chuckle of two.

Their match thread has nearly 1,200 posts.
