Sunderland need to pick themselves up and go again

If Sunderland want to replace Poyet, there's one manager who not that long ago became available.

if results go our way next week we could be nearly ten points clear of the drop zone

That 'nearly' nearly got me! Positive thinking ... are you related to Sir Timothy?

Or 4 games with 8 to go!

From F365:

!Sunderland thrashed by Villa

Sunderland are in deep relegation trouble after they were thrashed 4-0 at home by fellow strugglers Aston Villa, conceding all four goals in the first-half.

Speechless. I switched everything off at 2-0. The Villa of old (I.e Lambert's Villa) would have lost it 3-2.

I can't even remember the last time I enjoyed the final minutes of a game, or even a complete game without being stressed to death. Thank you Sherwood, Thank you Villa ! UTV

Sunderland message board is worth a chuckle of two.

Their match thread has nearly 1,200 posts.

I feel for them.

Good club. Heavily invested in. Just haven't caught a break. I am glad we won but I rather like Sunderland fans.

Seems funny to think that Charlie and Cleverly were the main contenders for MOM....but they were.

The times they are a changing!

I wonder how many fans of other clubs have looked at our post match boards this season and had a good snigger?  A fair few I reckon. Nice its us for a change.
