I've had worse weeks as a Villa fan.

worth pointing out that it is not just our victories Mr Shin. Throw in the teams in the league around us collectively shitting the bed. We now have the forward momentum of all the teams at the bottom and we will take this into our next league game. I am now confident that we can get something from every game this season. And if we don't it won't have been for the lack of trying to score and win. If we have that attitude and belief between now and May we'll be just fine and who knows, maybe a bit of silver at the end of it all!

It looked to me like the Police hadn't got enough numbers as they spent the latter parts of the second half trying to contain the Albion fans in the Witton Lane leaving the Holte and the other part of the Witton Lane open.

I think it was more a case of protecting them. As soon as the final whistle went a shit load of Villa went straight over there, and I don't think they were wishing them a safe 2 mile coach journey.

Just back to the Cotton Village, what a day, what a fucking day! As others have said after all the appalling shite of the last few years, maybe we deserve a little something.

I can now dream of the Final. Yes, we may got knocked out but we're one step away. Obviously we all want the same draw but sod it its a semi-final, it could be our day. It could be our year.

How nice to have a manager that can make a difference with a half time team talk!

Sinclair is ace, Jack was sublime in his cameo, Lowton was brilliant, Okore showed Ron what concrete is, Nzogbia was the nuts, Delph was fab and hVe we got the old Gabby back. Special mention to Clark, slowly becoming my favourite player.
I was a little disappointed in Bacuna. He looked nervy coming forward. He faced a CH playing out of position all game, who has no pace, so he should have been braver.
I'll also add that Given played well.

I thought Given was superb tonight.
That's a Given though.

Thought the policing was fine, quite rightly centred around the Albion fans, but the lack of stewards at the front of the Trinity, Holte and Witton Lane was bizarre?

I think the the policing and stewarding requirement were both vastly underestimated.

Couldn't quite see what was going on as I was in the Holte, but it looked quite a large number of them came down towards the front towards the end and were trying to get into the Villa part of the stand.  Pretty much every one of the police were around the away end which meant fans could easily get on the pitch.  The stewards just seemed to give up the ghost and there were fans just standing on the side of the pitch during the final few minutes.

Delighted with the win. You can see the lift Sherwood's appointment is giving te players and although he wasn't my choice he's got he job done this week against an experienced though one dimensional manager in Pulis.

Can we please though get some perspective on here for McGraths sake. We've just got to i think our fourth FA Cup similar final in 55 years, Beaten the Baggies twice in a week, rediscovered our ability to score, confidence up etc and all we are talking about is a hundred odd twats out of 40k that ran onto the pitch in the 93rd minute.

Typical Brummies. We won, lets enjoy it FFS!

From a Baggies Forum:

Quote
We got what we deserve, blame that idiot Pulis. Pulis the sc*m of English football

Quote
Don't care if we go down now, don't feel anything for any one of those players today, they have simply let us down

Quote
A part of me died today with that result and I'm not sure ill ever get back what I've lost

Quote
Absolutely rubbish we ain't got a clue,Not one of our players want to run, no body looking to break forward,
impersonating footballers that's what there doing

And my favourite..

Quote
We know what we are? f**king sh*te.

Shambles, feel like crying. Devastated.

What I've loved about the last two games is by the end I do not have the urge to slag any of our players off.  It feels so good to feel good about our own players again.  Everyone put in a shift, and N'Zog and Cleverly rightly were applauded when they were subbed.

It sounds weird, but I'd forgotten what it's like not to be angry at my team!

Yep. Happily clapped both off. Cleverly was very good in 1st half when wewere struggling.

Only saw the second half but we just have  a different feel to us going forward now, so refreshing to watch after the Lambert years.

I couldn't hear the Beeb comments on the pitch invasions but they need to have a look at themselves for a start at scheduling this at half 5 on a Saturday.

The pitch invasions were moronic and don't shed us in a good light but I have to laugh at the media making a big thing of this when Man. United have their yearly pitch invasions at VP whenever they scored and Chelsea fans also came onto the pitch when Lampard broke the record.

It's wrong but it happens. Football fans in getting carried away shock.

See you at Wembley.
