Quarter finals have always been a big deal. It's shit that the semis are played at Wembley.

Feel a bit sorry for Guzan- standout performer for last three years, does he deserve to miss Wembley, as would appear likely?

Playing devil's advocate, does Given deserve to be dropped for the Cup games?

A very large group of rather inebriated Albion fans behind us being rather vocal and aggressive. Intimidating to say the least. No police presence, just a couple of rather scared-looking transport police there to show fans to the correct platform.

Disgraceful. What about their helpers? Where were they?

Just got back in and what a week it has been.  Those idiots from Sandwell put firmly in their place and all the other results going our way.  The atmosphere in the ground was great and it carried on to the bus on the way home!!  Thought we played well in the second half after an uncertain first 45 minutes and the difference in pace between the two sides was the real key.  Special mention to Fabian Delph, who was superb both on Tuesday and tonight.

As for the pitch invasions, not great but nothing too serious in the grand scheme of things.  It looked to me like the Police hadn't got enough numbers as they spent the latter parts of the second half trying to contain the Albion fans in the Witton Lane leaving the Holte and the other part of the Witton Lane open.

Agree on both accounts.  Playing the semis at Wembley devalues the final.

I didn't go today, the wife has had a long standing day out, well deserved I might add and most importantly, free. So I've spent a fabulous afternoon with my two in Canon Hill park with my two kids, and then returned to watch my beloved team march on relentlessly to their destiny.

I couldn't honestly gives two shits about the pitch invasion. I'm done with worrying.

Today has been magnificent.

Poor first half, excellent second half. Who was that good player wearing N'Zogbia's shirt?

Two Baggies sat on the row in front of me in the Lower Holte, never said a word all night, and stayed until the bitter end!

that's why it's hard I suppose- like when Guzan and Big Brad had a similar thing in 2010... not sure what the answer is.

They could play every round at Wembley as far as I'm concerned if we get to the final. It would devalue nothing for me.

It happens unfortunately mate.  It shouldn't happen but we all know that playing a game between two local rivals at 5.30pm on a Saturday with emotions running high after they had met in the league only a few days before might not be the best idea.
