It was not very pleasant passing the train station either after the match.

Just got back the atmosphere was fantastic especially at the start, it's been far too long since the ground rocked like it did today. Having said that the fucking idiots who ran on at the end ruined it. It was so small time running on to celebrate getting to a semi-final, we're Aston Villa not fucking Bradford hope they all get banned bloody tossers.

I think the Bradford reference is a bit out of order, given what that club and its supporters have gone through and achieved.

Sinclair is ace, Jack was sublime in his cameo, Lowton was brilliant, Okore showed Ron what concrete is, Nzogbia was the nuts, Delph was fab and hVe we got the old Gabby back. Special mention to Clark, slowly becoming my favourite player.
I was a little disappointed in Bacuna. He looked nervy coming forward. He faced a CH playing out of position all game, who has no pace, so he should have been braver.
I'll also add that Given played well.

I thought Given was superb tonight.

A very large group of rather inebriated Albion fans behind us being rather vocal and aggressive. Intimidating to say the least. No police presence, just a couple of rather scared-looking transport police there to show fans to the correct platform.

I wouldn't worry too much about the pitch invasion - it'll all be forgotten come Monday afternoon. On a different note, I feel for Grealish, there isn't a dirty bone in his body. I hope the FA deal with the red quickly.

2nd yellow. Nothing can be done. Same for the Baggies player as well.

QF against local rivals. All day drinking. Was never going to be 'pleasant'.

What a refreshing change to come out and play well in the second half - Sherwood must have really got into the, at half time. Fair play.

Once the shackles are off, we ain't a bad team.

Amazing . the QF was never such a big deal till they had to fund the shocking new Wembley stadium therefore screwing the former venues . and taking the special out of your Wembley trip.

We have been fed on scraps for years and to be honest its like vanquishing the demons of O'Neils paper empire.

5.30 game against local rivals and a Wembley trip equals high emotion    ....  So before we judge remember the background and responsibility .

Unfortunately I witnessed in person every time our ineptitude or luck left us short from Man U and West Ham in the 70s and Arsenal . Oldham and others when we failed .
The outpouring of relief when we beat Forest to get to the Semis was amazing
People on cars on the way home .  total carnage.

Yes the bids on the pitch were daft . but Football is for the people and we are all different in how we react.

For the grammar police . I am on a flight to DC and still shaking in relief and joy.

So forgive me . if I don't give a toss

Totally agree that the semi-final should not be played at Wembley.

Wasn't aiming it at Bradford in particular was just picking a name swap it for Wigan or whoever, was just pointing out its small time for a club like ours.
